Ames adherence to AS9100c Quality Standards

Quality, compliance to requirements and continuous improvement are key in all that we do at The Ames Corporation. We are excited to announce Ames is now AS9100C certified!

What does this mean to you?

1. The AS9100 ISO Standard is considered a World Class Quality standard and it builds on Ames' pervious registration to the ISO 9001:2008. In fact, the AS9100C registration includes ISO 9001:2008 as a foundation.

2. By adding the AS9100C Standard to Ames' Quality Business Management System we have developed a Project Management process and added a more structured Risk Management review to our business systems.

3. Ames has also added a Configuration Management process that ensures that changes to products or processes are done without compromising the original Key Characteristics.

4. Ames has also developed a process that addresses Work Transfers (i.e. from one facility to another, or from one supplier to another supplier) to insure that the transfer does not result in a change in quality or supply.

5. The AS9100C Standard also made Ames take a close look at our Design & Development process and make changes to insure that all customer requirements were met before proceeding to the next phase gate. The Design and Development process includes transition to production.
